The Preparatory Faculty at Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University

Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (KhNAHU) was founded in 1930. Foreign students study here since 1948.

KhNAHU has the department for training foreigners who came to Ukraine to get education. Within 10 months students learn the Russian language and other basic subjects: mathematics, physics, biology and others to enter higher education institutions in the medical, engineering, economic and humanitarian fields.

Today, the faculty for training foreign citizens has a strong logistical basis which consists of a central building with well-equipped classrooms (for groups of 8-10 people), multimedia and computer classrooms, libraries, reading rooms and conference halls. A set of textbooks for students beginning to study Russian is available. Training and testing software is used as well.

For foreigners there is a hostel which is located in the city center near the university. There is a gym and a cafe for international students. In spare time the students can participate in exciting programs: excursions, concerts, sport events, competitions and celebrations.

The teaching staff are highly skilled and experienced professionals who provide a friendly and demanding atmosphere which guarantees high performance in training.
